We may write for many different reasons, but more than anything else… I write because I am alive! No lofty motives -I pray that I may never have any- but just for the sheer unadulterated pleasure of writing! The pleasure of naming things and emotions. Finding the right words; allowing my thoughts to materialize.
.
I like it when I write well; I like it when I write, period.
.
I strive to be brave enough to unleash the wave of creativity striving to express itself within me! I write!
.
I write and name my world; I write and name my feelings; I write and make sense out of this being I call ME!
.
I have made writing a natural, intensely personal part of MY life.
.
In different eras and situations, the need to communicate was very evident: Cave men engraved their messages and left legacies by carving unto rocks and caves. Prisoners would likewise scratch the walls of their cells to leave a mark. Across many centuries, people have dipped their quill on ink, and inserted messages in a bottle. Such is the need to give life and meaning to their existence through the power of words!
.
My writing life has taught me how to conquer self-doubt and self-scrutiny. Instead of forever doubting my words, I have learned to let go and allow self-expression to rule!
.
We are what we write… I am what I write!
.
.
We should write because it is human nature to write. Writing claims our world. It makes it directly and specifically our own. We should write because humans are spiritual beings and writing is a powerful form of prayer and meditation, connecting us both to our own insights and to a higher and deeper level of inner guidance.
.
We should write because writing brings clarity and passion to the act of living. Writing is sensual, experiential, grounding. We should write because writing is good for the soul. We should write because writing yields us a body of work, a felt path through the world we live in.
.
We should write above all, because we are writers, whether we call ourselves that or not.

i came,
i saw,
i comment,
keep on writing!
As long as my mind is able and my body permits… I will!
do doodles and squiggles count? hihihi…just want you to smile.
in truth, to writing i happily say ‘guilty!’
Chepot, I have a hunch it does…hahaha! Know what, I have a strange habit (since grade school days) of scribbling whenever am listening to a teacher or a speaker. I realized I can pick up a lot of what’s being said by doing this! So you think that counts?
Teehee! Doods always tease me about it.
